The Funny Site of the Day -- Now, here's a project to watch with interest -- and ample longevity. ''Writers living in 13 different countries in which English is spoken" are creating definitive limericks for every word in the dictionary -- a Limerictionary, if you will.

The concept is amusing and, more importantly, the limericks, too. The rhyming authors are hard at wordplay with the inclusive entries between "aa- through cz-." So, it's still a long, long way to Nantucket.

The Funny Site of the Day -- The 8th annual Star Wars short films competition has concluded with approximately 40 fan-generated entries considered as finalists. The nominated shorts, mostly spoofs, are available to see at online video giant Atom. The nominees join all of the winning selections dating back to 2002. View them free on demand. Some may contain strong language.

Each year, Star Wars' czar, George Lucas, selects his best of show for a special award. The 2008 honor goes to Padme, a parody in the style of the big screen comedy Juno.
